So what do you need…?

LUCKILY, you don’t need:

  • to have played golf before
  • to have to have your own equipment
  • to belong to a golf club.

Although if you have done any of the above before, then that is great!

There are 5 districts affiliated to Blind Golf Scotland

and events take place all over Scotland.

There is also the opportunity to play in competitions all over the world, i.e. Australia, Canada, USA, Japan, Austria … and new countries are joining every year. There is an opportunity too to gain merit points in the domestic events to gain a place on the Scotland team to play against Ireland and/or England & Wales in Ryder Cup style competitions.

Members can also choose to play golf in a less competitive manner and take part as a player/guide at all events in the Scottish calendar.

Blind Golf Scotland can also help with lessons for those who haven’t played before or would like some help since losing sight – males and females of all ages are welcome.

The 5 districts and their contact details are listed below:

  • Grampian 01569 762 046 (Ally Reid)
  • Greater Glasgow 07415 693 064 (Kris Adams)
  • Edinburgh & Lothian 0131 477 9007 (Charlie Forbes)
  • West of Scotland 01655 883 859 (Bennet Ward)
  • Tayside 01382 543 234 (Barry Hampton)

Prospective members and their guides are welcome to come along to any event to see Blind Golf Scotland in action. Socialising takes place at the 19th hole which is a great way of making new friends, getting those who feel they are no longer able to play golf off the sofa to get fit and keep their sanity by getting a good dose of fresh air and good company.

Do get in touch if you would just like to find out more.

We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to our club!
